Season ends for Tigers at hands of aggressive Bears

However, it was a strong finish to the first period and fast start to the fourth quarter which proved to be the difference, as the season came to an end for the top-seeded St. James Tigers at the hands of the second-seeded Ava Bears 66-58 in the championship game of the Missouri Class 3 District 4 Tournament Friday, Feb. 28 at Mountain Grove High School.

2nd-quarter drought was costly for Lady Tigers in district finals

    As usual the St. James High School girls’ basketball team’s stingy defense was enough to win a district championship for the Lady Tigers Friday night. Against the top-seeded Licking Lady Wildcats, however, second-seeded St. James simply couldn’t mount enough offense to make that defensive effort stand.

Tigers take FRC title, win district game

    Red-hot from long range, the top-seeded St. James High School boys basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the Missouri Class 3 District 4 Tournament by blasting eighth-seeded host Mountain Grove 87-41 in first-round action Monday, Feb. 24 at Mountain Grove High School.

Lady Tigers win district opener

   The second-seeded St. James High School girls basketball team moved on to the semifinals of the Missouri Class 3 District 4 Tournament by defeating seventh-seeded host Mountain Grove 70-43 in first-round action Saturday, Feb. 22 at Mountain Grove High School.
