A couple of local softball officials with St. James ties will be going into a hall of fame later this week, as St. James’ Kristy Rich and Rolla’s Jim Earl will be inducted into the USA Softball Missouri Hall of Fame and Hall of Blue, respectively.

The St. James High School boys’ basketball team put together a big non-conference win Monday, Feb. 4, cooling down the Steelville Cardinals 64-60 at St. James High. St. James improved to 12-9 while Steelville fell to 14-4.
St. James High School senior Mikaela Donnelly has been one of the top catchers in the area the past couple of seasons. But with the versatility she brings, Donnelly is not sure where she will play in the field at the collegiate level, although she now knows what school she’ll be playing at.
The St. Clair High School girls’ basketball team posted its 10th consecutive victory on Monday, Feb. 4, knocking off Four-Rivers Conference rival St. James 63-34 at St. Clair. St. Clair improved to 15-5. The short-handed St. James Lady Tigers fall to 10-12 overall and 2-2 in the FRC.
In the inaugural season of high school girls’ wrestling in Missouri, the St. James High School girls’ wrestling squad is sending 100 percent of its roster to the state tournament. All three Lady Tigers advanced to the Missouri Girls’ State Tournament through the Missouri Class 1 District Tournament, held Feb. 1-2 at St. Clair High School.
