Lady Tigers won FRC, but missed state tournament

    With a large group of returners meshing with a talented incoming freshman class, roles and playing time had to be tweaked for the St. James High School girls’ basketball team.

    As Lady Tiger fans entered into St. James High School on March 3, the word of a district championship buzzed. A win would put the second-seeded St. James Lady Tigers into the Class 4 District 9 championship on Friday. Those plans were quickly halted.

Tigers fall to top-seed Blair Oaks in district finals

    After a grueling first half, the third-seeded St. James High boys’ basketball team fell to the top-seeded Blair Oaks Falcons 61-29 in the Class 4 District 9 Tournament championship game Saturday, March 6, at Owensville High School.

Coach likes chances of Tiger state qualifying trio

    St. James High School wrestling head coach Beau Moreland thought he would have twice as many state tournament qualifiers for this week’s Missouri Class 2 State Championships. But going into state competition, he said, “I like my three.”

Lady Tigers hand Union first loss for FRC title

    The St. James Lady Tigers couldn’t have ended the regular season in a better fashion.
    The Lady Tigers claimed the Four Rivers Conference title by knocking off the undefeated Union Lady Wildcats 58-42 Wednesday, Feb. 24 at St. James High School.
