Tigers must play top Class 3 team in district tourney opener

    It’s been a long, long football season for the St. James Tigers. It may get a lot longer Friday night. Winless and desperate for points, the Tigers now must face the state’s top Class 3 team in a win-or-go-home scenario.

    The St. James High School football team closed out the regular season with its scoring woes intact. The Tigers finished off the regular season with its third consecutive shutout defeat on Friday, falling to Pacific 35-0 in Four-Rivers Conference play.

Tigers hosting battle of winless FRC teams

Two teams holding up the rest of the Four-Rivers Conference as well as their own respective district standings will face off Friday with one more chance to get off the winless rut before the postseason begins. The St. James High School football team will end the regular season by hosting FRC rival Pacific Friday (7 p.m. kickoff).

Homecoming spoiled by Union as Tigers lose 70-0 - PHOTO GALLERY

    The Union Wildcats made the St. James High School homecoming football game a very long one Friday, Oct. 18. Union roared out to a 34-0 first-quarter lead and was in control the rest of the way to shut out the depleted Tigers 70-0.
