St. Clair power game takes over in second half

            Same old St. Clair Bulldogs. The personnel may change, but under head coach Brian Robbins the St. Clair physically tough rushing game continues on.
            And that was the case against St. James Friday, Sept. 30, as the Bulldogs ran past the Tigers in the second half for a 34-6 Four Rivers Conference victory at St. Clair. St. James fell to 2-4 overall and 0-3 in the FRC. St. Clair improved to 3-3 and 3-1.

Lady Tigers fall to Cuba

            The Lady Tiger volleyball squad was swept by Cuba 25-21, 25-12, 25-18 in a match Tuesday, Sept. 27 at St. James High School.

Freeman sets Lady Tiger strikeout record

            Junior Alexus Freeman has been one of the area’s outstanding high school softball hitters since she came on the scene for the St. James Lady Tigers as a freshman.

Perona won medalist honors at Belle

            For the second consecutive week junior Vanessa Perona won meet medalist honors for the St. James High School girls’ cross country squad.

Tigers re-set; maul Wildcats, 54-6

            After starting the season 1-3 – and playing well enough in two of those losses to win – the St. James High football squad desperately needed a re-set.
            That re-set came at the expense of the Cuba Wildcats Friday, Sept. 23.
