With a banged-up, extremely young, winless St. James High School football squad taking on the state’s top-ranked team, the expected result occurred Friday, Nov. 1. St. James committed five turnovers, giving the Blair Oaks Falcons help they simply didn’t need, and the top-seeded Falcons went on to roll over eighth-seeded St. James 68-7 in the opening round of the Missouri Class 3 District 5 Tournament.

The sixth-seeded St. James High School volleyball team saw its season come to a close Monday with a straight-set sweep by third-seeded host Sullivan in the first round of the Missouri Class 3 District 8 Tournament at Sullivan High School.
For the first time ever, Maramec Spring Park was used as the course for the Four-Rivers Conference Cross Country Championship, which was hosted by St. James High School on Oct. 22. The Hermann boys and Owensville girls captured the FRC team crowns.
It was a busy week for the St. James Middle School Lady Tigers last week. Both teams won all four of their games for an eight game sweep.
It’s been a long, long football season for the St. James Tigers. It may get a lot longer Friday night. Winless and desperate for points, the Tigers now must face the state’s top Class 3 team in a win-or-go-home scenario.
