Andrew Branson thought he had broken the St. James High School boys’ basketball single-game scoring record last year, only to find out that a 47-point outburst decades earlier had been overlooked. On Valentine’s Day Branson finally got the record by a point.

Senior Kaylynn Crocker of the St. James High School wrestling team earned the opportunity to win a second straight all-state medal by finishing third place in the 115-pound weight class at the Missouri Girls District 1 Tournament, held Friday and Saturday last week at Hillsboro.

The St. James Middle School Seventh Grade Tigers finished up their season taking second in the Sullivan Tournament in an intense game against Union. The eighth grade Tigers finished fourth in the St. Clair tournament.
