Pitchers are the key for Lady Tigers softball

    The St. James High School softball team has a solid core of starters returning from a winning squad. However, the key to the season will be how the new STJ pitchers perform at the varsity level this fall.

Tigers and Tigers will both be part of Class 3 District 5 football tourney

The Tigers at St. James and Salem high schools will hook up to open the regular season and could again collide in the district playoffs.
The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Friday morning announced the football classification and district pairings for the 2018 school year, and both St. James and Salem are in Class 3 District 5.

Gibson is expected to be leader of Tigers’ defensive squad this season

    It was not difficult to spot Sage Gibson on the football field last season. At 5-7, 180 pounds, it wasn’t his size that made the St. James High School Tiger stand out.
    He was that little guy flying all over the field making some very big hits. And Gibson is hoping to save his best performances for his senior season this fall.

Tigers ready for first action at Friday’s Sullivan Jamboree

    This week’s Sullivan Jamboree is the dress rehearsal for the St. James High School football team’s season-opener. And after the first week of practice first-year Tiger head coach Josh Rodriguez feels his squad is right where it needs to be. St. James wrapped up the opening week of practice with a controlled scrimmage on Saturday.
    “It was as good as it was going to go,” Rodriguez said of the scrimmage, the team’s first day of full contact. “We’re not at our peak right now. It’s what you normally expect.
