To help slow the potential spread of COVID-19 on campus this fall, students, faculty and staff at Missouri University of Science and Technology will wear face coverings in classrooms, labs and common areas or when social distancing is not possible. The requirement will take effect on July 1, 2020, and will continue when the fall semester starts on Aug. 24.
Missouri University of Science and Technology will welcome about 75 students to campus starting Sunday, July 19, for the final summer session of classes and a summer program for first-year students called Hit the Ground Running (HGR). Missouri S&T also will have new practices in place to reduce the potential impact of COVID-19.
Missouri University of Science and Technology announced the creation of the Miner Pledge today as part of the university’s efforts to help limit the spread of COVID-19 on campus and in the Rolla area. The Miner Pledge encourages students and employees to pledge to protect themselves, the campus and the community by taking action to “respond with noble efforts to overcome the challenges before us because that’s what Miners do.”
Public input is being accepted until July 31, 2020, on the Phelps County Hazard Mitigation Plan. The public survey is available on Meramec Regional Planning Commission’s website at http://www.meramecregion.org/surveys/.
