Phelps County sees big spike in confirmed COVID-19 cases
The Phelps/Maries Health Department reported 44 new confirmed COVID-19 cases over the last week, with the total number of cases jumping from 98 on August 10 to 142 confirmed cases on August 17.
Injuries reported in suspected DWI crash
Areas of St. James were without power Saturday morning after a Cuba man was seriously injured in a suspected DWI crash on State Route DD. According to online reports from Troop I of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred one mile east of St. James on State Route DD.
