The Phelps County Public Housing Authority (PHA) will be accepting applications for the HUD Choice Voucher Program in Owensville at Heartland Independent Living Center, 1010 Hwy. 28, on the second Thursday of the month from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Staff will be in Owensville on July 11 to accept applications.

The Phelps County Genealogical Society will present “Impressions of the Civil War in the West” by Dan Woodward at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Wellington Club House, 1200 East 10th Street, Rolla (one block east of Social Security Office).
The Rolla Downtown Farmers Market will host Kids Cook, a series of classes to teach children about the benefits of healthy eating and choices of fresh, locally grown produce, in addition to learning how to prepare recipes using these items.

The Community Foundation of the Ozarks and Missouri Foundation for Health have awarded a $10,000 grant to Meramec Regional Community Foundation through the Rural Ozarks Health Initiative to address health issues in communities in the CFO’s rural service area. MRCF will award the funds to support community grantmaking for programs that address substance abuse.
