Missouri S&T’s Chem-E-Car earns third in international competition

The Missouri University of Science and Technology Chem-E-Car Design Team’s entry into the recent American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Chem-E-Car Competition earned third place while competing against schools from around the United States.
DAR meeting being held December 5

Phelps County Commission orders mask mandate
The Phelps County Commission voted 2-1 on Tuesday to implement a mask mandate to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Presiding Commissioner Randy Verkamp and District #1 Commissioner Larry Stratman voted for the order and District #2 Commissioner Gary Hicks was opposed. The order will go into effect Monday, November 30.
Health Department continues to struggle with number of COVID-19 cases
The Phelps/Maries County Health Department continues to struggle with the overwhelming number of cases of COVID-19 in the area. As testing expands and cases continue to rise across the state, the department noted it is experiencing delays in case investigations.
