MRPC board hears about importance of resiliency planning from SEMA and FEMA

    Disasters can strike at any moment. Is your community ready? Resiliency planning is a vital part of recovery from a disaster, according to Jessica Catron, the Missouri state disaster recovery coordinator with the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and De’an Bass, a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) integration team lead for Missouri. Catron and Bass spoke with the Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC) board at their Sept. 12 board meeting.

Fall enrollment at S&T nearly 8,100

    The fall 2019 enrollment at Missouri University of Science and Technology, officially recorded at the end of the semester’s fourth week, is 8,096. This is a 5.9% decrease over last year’s fall enrollment of 8,607.

MRPC Annual Dinner planned for October 24 in Waynesville

• 13 volunteer awards to be presented to individuals from eight-county region
    Each year Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC) honors residents of the Meramec Region who give to their communities by volunteering their time, talents and support. This year, 13 awards will be presented at MRPC’s 2019 Annual Dinner Oct. 24 at the Stonebrooke Center at 500 G.W. Lane St., Waynesville.
