Missouri University of Science and Technology brought together university researchers, industry experts and government leaders Thursday, Sept. 3, for a research symposium that highlighted the state’s manufacturing capabilities.

Missouri University of Science and Technology students and alumni looking for full-time employment, a co-op or an internship will have the opportunity to meet with employers one-on-one without having to wait in line this fall. The university will host its first virtual Fall 2020 Career Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 22, through the Career Fair Plus app.
The Rolla Chamber is celebrating the following Ambassadors for achieving 1000 volunteer points: Kent Bagnall, Earl Bean, Marcia Burns, Caroleen Ferrell, Tonya Greven, Terry Harris, Jim Marcellus, Lonna Sowers, Jim Standfast and Wendy Young. This is a remarkable accomplishment as it takes a lot of work to reach 1000 points.
With a record number of underrepresented minorities and Hispanic students, Missouri University of Science and Technology started classes Monday, August 24 for the 2020-21 school with a blend of online, in-person and hybrid classes to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 on campus and in the Rolla area.
The Phelps/Maries County Health Department announced last week all services the department will return to curbside or by appointment only. This will affect anyone coming to the facility for services, as the number of COVID-19 cases continue to rise.
