Missouri S&T wins $1.5 million award to create cutting-edge spectrometer

Missouri University of Science and Technology has received a $1.5 million award from the National Science Foundation to develop a new, state-of-the-art, rotational microwave spectrometer on its campus in Rolla.

Missouri CIT internationally recognized

    The Missouri Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Council has received exciting news. Detective Jason Klaus, Missouri CIT Coordinator, was given the 2020 CIT International Coordinator of the Year Award and Corporal Leann Robertson, with the Rolla Police Department, was named the 2020 CIT International First Responder of the Year!

Two seeking chance at District 2 commissioner seat

    Two Republicans will face each other in the August Primary for the District 2 Commissioner seat, with the winner facing Democrat Kristina Leininger in the November general election.

Two seeking coroner seat

    The August Primary will see two Republicans seeking to become the new Phelps County Coroner. Sarah Lamb and Ernie Coverdell will face each other in the election, with the winner taking over the office as they will have not challenger in November.

Five seeking District 1 Commissioner seat

    Five candidates, Kevin Whitener, Stanley Frisbee, Joey Auxier, Sarah Oerther and Jim White, will be running in the August 4 Primary to see which Republican candidate will face Democrat Elizabeth A. White in November to fill the seat of retiring District 1 Commissioner Larry Stratman.
