Team Remember Me, a local volunteer group for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, will be holding a Dine n’ Donate night at the Rolla Colton’s Steakhouse & Grill, located at 1675 North Bishop, on Tuesday, September 17 from 4 to 9 p.m. Anyone who purchases dinner during the event will have a portion of the cost of their meal go towards the Walk to End Alzheimer’s organization.

Missouri University of Science and Technology’s Celebration of Nations multicultural festival will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Rolla Band Shell in downtown Rolla. Volunteers play a crucial role in the event and are needed for various tasks.
The following individuals from Phelps County participated in the Missouri State Fair, placing in various competitions.
The Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital and the Columbia Vet Center are teaming up to provide area Veterans with services such as Veterans Health Administration enrollment, and counseling for post-traumatic stress disorder and military sexual trauma.
Cord and Dana Jenkins and family of Rolla were among the families honored during the 61st annual Farm Family Day, August 12 at the Missouri State Fair.
The Jenkin’s family was selected as the Phelps County Farm Family by University of Missouri Extension in Phelps County and the local Farm Bureau. The family includes Estella and Amelia.
