One thing atheistic Marxists and radical Islamists have in common is their hatred toward Christians and Jews. Consequently, a nation founded on Judeo-Christian moral values must be torn down and replaced by an ideological entity devised by them. Marx distinguishes two opposing classes. The proletariat or working class which he perceives as being exploited by the bourgeoisie, the capitalist class which owns and controls everything. Marxist philosophy sees American capitalism as an evil that must be replaced by collective ownership of property, in other words, by communism. Under such a system a small governing elite will govern and control every aspect of life, even life itself of the large inferior majority. Those not complying will be subject to elimination. Wherever this philosophy has been adopted, millions have perished.
Radical Islamists believe that Jews and Christians are infidels who must submit to their superior culture and teachings. As with Marxist socialism, nonconformists can and have been eliminated by the millions. These ideologies are a real threat to a nation which proclaims that all men are created equal by God and have the right to procure liberty and happiness. A founding father and second president in his farewell address stated that the foundation of a free society was rooted in religion and moral virtue and that without these the principle of freedom could not be securely maintained.
To stay united as a nation, America needs to wake up to the necessity of a spiritual revival. Dwindling attendance and participation in worship must be revised, observance of the laws of nation and of God that have been forsaken must be rekindled. Living the moral virtues in daily life must be the norm not the exception. All this is possible with the grace of God in whose image all are created.
