Beatrice S. Whiteside was born on Sept. 15, 1938 in Bastrop, Texas and passed away May 29, 2026 at the age of 87 years.
Raised and educated at the Buckner Baptist Children's Home in Dallas, Texas, she then attended Hardin-Simmons University. In her 20s, she worked as an administrative assistant at McDonnell Douglas.
She was a member of Hazelwood Baptist Church, served as the president of the PTA, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, holding the rank of Worthy Matron and was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
She enjoyed gardening, puzzles—both jigsaw and crossword—and playing games and cards.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Whiteside; parents, Joseph and Hazel Sappington; brothers, Mayron, Richard and Joseph Sappington; and sister, Beulah Thomas.
She is survived by her children, Tanya Whiteside, Sherlyn Whiteside, Regina (Thomas) Martin and Douglas (Tracy) Whiteside; grandchildren, Troy Wyatt, Teah (Kevin) Griffin, Coby (Leanne) Feltner, Shawn (Jeff) Young, Toree (Zac) Williams, Loren (Rick) Goudreau, Jacob Martin, Carson Whiteside, Mason Whiteside and Nolan Whiteside; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Berneece Hardin and Barbara Ryer; other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Pathfinder Church, 15800 Manchester Road, Ellisville, Missouri. A short message will be shared at 12:30 p.m., and food and drinks will be provided.
