Billie G. “Bill” Dodd of Cuba, Missouri was born on August 31, 1946 in Sullivan, Missouri to William R. and Mary (Ruckman) Dodd, Sr. and passed away on October 29, 2025 at the age of 79 years.
Bill served his country in the United States Navy.
He worked as a vending machine and arcade repairman and found great pleasure in fishing, tinkering in his shed on various motors, and proudly earned the title of “Mr. Fix It.”
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ernest Dodd; sister, Judy (Jim) Gibbs; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bob Asher, Bonnie Jones, Ronnie Asher, Johnny Asher, Louise Soliz, Billy Asher and Randy Asher.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Dodd of Cuba, Missouri; two children, Melissa (William) Fischer of Wentzville, Missouri and John (Heather) Dodd of Jefferson City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Ashley (Eric) Gaw, Ariana (Daniel) Roy, Nolan Dodd and Ella Dodd; one ‘adopted’ grandson, Garrett Goerger of Cuba, Missouri; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Fritz Asher of Steelville, Missouri, Wanda McMillen of Texas, Judy (Ron) Caron of Steelville, Missouri, Tina Asher of Springfield, Missouri Cathy (Brian) Tucker of Salem, Missouri and Karen (Rob) Sikes of Steelville, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Bill was cremated.
Celebration of life was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Calvary Assembly Church of God in Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Terry Hogan officiating. Military honors followed the service.
Inurnment will be held in the spring of 2026 at Ft. Leonard Wood State Veterans Cemetery in Waynesville, Missouri.
