Blood drive being held November 10

Football fans, here’s your chance to score big this season. Community Blood Center of the Ozarks, the sole supplier of blood, platelets, and plasma to patients at over 40 hospitals, invites you to go the extra yard for local patients. Make a lifesaving play at the upcoming blood drive in St. James on Monday, November 10.

All successful donors will receive a limited-edition Kansas City Chiefs Kingdom T-shirt, while supplies last. Donors can also enter for a chance to win a game day package that includes two tickets and a parking pass to Kansas City’s December 14, 2025, game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The game package is valued at $585.

Donors with Community Blood Center of the Ozarks help provide every drop of blood for patients at Phelps Health, as well as dozens of health care facilities across the Ozarks. St. James area residents will have the opportunity to donate at the following location:

Monday, November 10 from 9:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. at the Bloodmobile in the Missouri Veterans Home parking lot at 620 N. Jefferson Street in St. James.

“The Chiefs promotion is a fun and meaningful way to rally our community around a cause that truly matters,” said Michelle Teter, Media Relations Representative at Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. “When you donate blood, you are suiting up for your community and making a play that saves lives. Just like the Chiefs rely on teamwork to win on the field, our hospitals rely on generous donors to help patients in need. Go the extra yard and enter for a chance to watch a game at the Kingdom, while making a real difference close to home.”

To help avoid wait times, appointments are strongly encouraged. To schedule an appointment call Lorie Steen at 573-265-3271 or go to www.cbco.org/donate-blood or call 417-227-5006. Photo identification is required. Please eat well and drink plenty of fluids prior to the blood drive.

On behalf of local hospital patients, Community Blood Center of the Ozarks thanks blood donors from across the region for giving life to your community.
