Bradly “Brad” Harold Cape

Bradly "Brad" Harold Cape was born April 8, 1971 in Rolla, Missouri to Harold and Virginia Brown Cape and passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026 at the age of 55 years.

He grew up in Steelville, Missouri, where he graduated from Steelville High School in 1989.

Brad dedicated 37 years of his life to managing the All-Type Fence business.

He found joy in nature and adventure. He enjoyed time spent hunting turkey and deer, and often traveled to Wyoming to hunt elk and mule deer. He won numerous fishing tournaments, including three triumphs in the Upper Meramec Bass Club Invitational. He also enjoyed gardening, cattle farming, working in the hay fields, playing golf and jogging.

He supported Steelville Athletics, especially cross country, track, and basketball.

He read his Bible daily as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.

He is survived by two children, Brennan and Abby Cape of Columbia, Missouri and Mariah and Edward Gerren of Steelville, Missouri; parents, Harold and Virginia Cape of Steelville, Missouri; sister, Molly and John Slowensky of Rolla, Missouri; grandchildren, Carter Gerren, Jesse Cape, Layla Gerren, and Virginia Cape; niece, Riley and Jake Libhart of Steelville, Missouri; girlfriend, Mia Boren of Piggott, Arkansas; other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.

Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Brad's children, Mariah and Brennan officiating and sharing memories. Phil Yeomans gave prayer and scripture. Special music of "Old Violin" and "Go Rest High" was played.

Casket bearers were Brennan Cape, Edward Gerren, Jake Libhart, John Slowensky, Mike Mitchell and Phil Yeomans.

Private family interment was held at the Hibler Cemetery.
