Pastor Heironimus, I must say I’m disappointed in you. Back in your letter of June 24, you stated that you were done with your series of critiques against the founders of this fine, young nation of ours. And yet, here you are going back on that promise. That’s hardly the mark of a man of integrity, is it?
I have no further insights to share with you, apart from some constructive advice. I think I may safely assume you are a member of the Roman Catholic Church, since a man of your expressed views would never stand to make common cause with those of us who question the God-given authority of the Pope in Rome. I don’t know which parish you attend, but you may wish to speak with your local priest. He might be able to give you further guidance.
In any case, I do hope you will hold more faithfully to your promises in the future.
