Catherine "Cathy" Marie Greenwalt of Steelville, Missouri was born on Sunday, May 1, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri to Calvin R. Greenwalt and Dorothy "Dottie" Lee (nee Eads) Greenwalt and passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026 at the age of 71 years, 4 months and 5 days.
She attended school in Cherryville, Missouri and later moved to St. Louis, Missouri.
She worked as a banquet manager at The Viking in St. Louis, Missouri and later spent time on the road as a truck driver for JB Hunt and Flying J.
In her free time, she enjoyed arts and crafts, playing BINGO and going for motorcycle rides. Over the years, she opened her home to foster children.
She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin R. Greenwalt; parents, Dorothy “Dottie” and James Land; children, Daniel (Linda) Leonard, Rhonda Bridgett, Monica “Mickey” Lee Summers and William “Bobby” (Tammy) Skiles; siblings, Randy Greenwalt, Jimmy Land and Steven Greenwalt; and brother-in-law, Cecil Mason.
She is survived by her children, Chrissy Jones (Danny) and William “Liam” Skiles both of Steelville, Missouri and Tim Granger (Tracy) of St. Louis, Missouri; son-in-law, Michael Summers of Washington, Missouri; siblings, Tina Mason (Paul Wilkerson), Tari Mason and Richard Land all of Steelville, Missouri, Vickie (Russ) Bono of House Springs, Missouri, Bobby (Marie) Greenwalt of Clermont, Florida and Ricky (Betty) Greenwalt of Arnold, Missouri; 19 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating.
The family chose cremation as her final disposition.
