Chamois lost to Dixon on Monday in three close sets, 22-25, 22-25, 22-25.
“The girls fought a hard evenly matched game,” said Coach Jennie Holifield. “They played one of their best matches of the season. Even one of the officials noted how well they played. He officiated one of their first games of the season and complimented the girls on how far they have progressed since the beginning of the season. Even if they didn’t get the outcome they hoped for, they played a game they should be proud of.”
Savanah Sieg posted three blocks, two aces, and two kills, while Emma Mehmert had three aces, two assists, and a kill, Brieanna Keilholz posted two aces and a kill, Raigen Cramer added two blocks, a kill, and an ace, Nora Wideman finished with a kill, and Carly Schollmeyer posted an ace.
In Friday’s match at Calvary Lutheran, Chamois lost 21-25, 12-25, 10-25.
Sieg posted two aces, a block, and a kill, while Wideman and Cramer each added two aces, Mehmert had an ace and two assists, and Keilholz finished with one ace.
On Sept. 22, the Lady Pirates fell to New Bloomfield, 18-25, 25-27. Sieg had four aces and two kills, Wideman posted three aces and two kills, Mehmert added three aces, Cramer had two, and Schollmeyer finished with one.
Chamois lost to Columbia Independent on Sept. 18, 16-25, 11-25, 25-23, and on Sept. 15, Chamois lost to Bunceton, 19-25, 22-25, 16-23.
