Charles David "Dave" Renick of Sullivan, Missouri was born on May 13, 1950 in Sullivan, Missouri to Charles Albert and Lois Dean (Spindler) Renick and passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the age of 75 years.

He was raised along Boone Creek and attended Sullivan Schools.

On December 20, 1969, Dave married Jacqueline Morris.

Dave began his working life as a tree trimmer for Townsend Tree Service and spent time working in a shoe factory. He was then employed by the former Meramec Mining Company, until its closure. Following the company's closure, he relocated his family to Tooele, Utah, where he worked at Anaconda Copper Mine before it, too, ceased operations in 1981. He returned to Sullivan, where he worked as a pipefitter helping to build the Calloway Nuclear Plant. Dave then pursued carpentry, ultimately retiring from the Laborers union local. #42.

He was an avid outdoorsman and sports enthusiast. He loved old rock 'n' roll with Aerosmith and the Eagles on his playlist. He was a catcher for the fast-pitch softball league, playing for the Wedge Tavern and Meramec Communications. He enjoyed hunting deer, mule deer in Colorado and turkeys along Boone Creek. Dave also had a love for boxing and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers in infancy, Dennis and Joseph Renick; and one sister, Lillian Renick.

He is survived by three children, Terri Renick-James and husband Robert of Beaufort, Missouri, Marci Renick of Bourbon, Missouri and J.J. Sweat and husband David of Eureka, Missouri; four grandchildren, Shane and Jada Sweat of Eureka, Missouri, Brittany Ligeti and husband Matt and Cameron James and wife Kayla of Washington, Missouri; seven great grandchildren, Audree, Lorilei, Watson, Malcolm, Kingston, Calihan and Kendrick; two sisters, Bernice Evans of Fulton, Missouri and Sue Jokerst and husband Paul of Lake Ozark, Missouri; other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.

Interment in Lockhart Cemetery.
