Charlotte Elaine Leisler of Steelville, Missouri was born on July 24, 1952 to Orville and Pearl Stout and passed away on Jan. 22, 2026 at the age of 73 years.
Growing up in St. Louis, Charlotte attended local schools.
On October 2, 1976, she married Vernon Leisler. They later divorced.
In 1997, Charlotte moved to Steelville to be closer to her brother, Vernon.
She was an excellent cook. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, soap operas and mini trips exploring Missouri.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Scotty McPherson; parents, Orville and Pearl Stout; and siblings, Orvielle Stout, Arther Stout, Lily Stout and Eddie Stout.
She is survived by her children, Christine McPherson and significant other Von Winfrey Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri, Vernon Leisler Jr. of Steelville, Missouri, Charlene Elkins and significant other Michael Porter of Sullivan, Missouri and Charles Leisler of Rolla, Missouri; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three brothers, Roy Stout of Pevely, Missouri, William Stout of Steelville, Missouri and David Stout of Festus, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life was held from 1-2 p.m. with memorial service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Free Will Baptist Church of Bourbon, Missouri with Pastor Matthew Blackmore officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan, Missouri.
