Charlotte Jeanette Pauley of Cuba, Missouri was born on October 9, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri to Afton and Nora Jean (Conner) Gee and passed away Saturday, September 5, 2026 at the age of 88 years.
On August 10, 1957, Charlotte married Richard W. Pauley.
She devoted many years of service to her work and was a member of Local #655 of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union for 25 years until her retirement.
In 1996, prior to retirement, Charlotte and Richard purchased property in Cuba, Missouri and in 2000 they made it their final home.
Charlotte enjoyed crossword puzzles, feeding the hummingbirds and cardinals and spending time with her beloved dog, Rosie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” W. Pauley; parents, Afton and Nora Gee; sister, Barbara Johanpeter and husband Kenny; niece, Debbie Gassman; and parents-in-law, Honorable Joseph and Jane Pauley.
She is survived by her sons, Richard S. Pauley and wife Lori of Kirksville, Missouri and Michael Pauley and wife Cathy of Florissant, Missouri; three grandchildren, Caitlin Martinez and husband Daniel Sr., Samantha Pauley and Maxwell Pauley; three great grandchildren, Daniel Jr., Skylar and Sawyer; daughter of the heart, Kelly Maier of Bonita Springs, Florida; niece, Terry Walsh and husband Timothy; great nephew and niece, Jake Gassman and wife Angie and Jessie Bell; special great great nieces, Taylor and Kloe; special friends, Debbie Williams-Gassman and husband Russell and Joe Jorgavan and wife Debbie; other relatives and friends.
Celebration of life will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan, Missouri.
Cremation has taken place and a private inurnment will be at a later date at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri.
