Cheryl Annette Stricklin of Sullivan, Missouri was born Sept. 14, 1963 in Salem, Missouri to Jessie Stricklin Sr. and Betty Lou Godbey Stricklin and passed away on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026 at the age of 62 years, 5 months and 12 days

She was employed at Meramac Group in Sullivan, Missouri, retiring in 2025 after 25 years of service.

She made memories while salmon fishing on her trip to Wisconsin and fishing near her home. In her younger years, Cheryl loved to deer hunt. She also spent hours working in her vegetable garden and tending to her beautiful flower garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Sr. and Betty Lou Stricklin; and sister-in-law, Deloris Stricklin.

She is survived by her companion, Jorge Rodriguez of Sullivan, Missouri; daughter, Natasha Volner and companion Adam Bailey of Steelville, Missouri; son, Charles “Eddie” (Jalisha) Leasor of Hermitage, Missouri; four grandchildren, Kaelyn and Micah Volner, Nova Jean Leasor and Azazel Forrest; four bonus grandchildren, Curtis, Jacob, Kathryn and Matthew Bailey; one brother, Jessie “Eddie” Stricklin of Cherryville, Missouri; sister, Jenny (David) Wren of Steelville, Missouri; other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Pastor Mark Godbey officiating. Special music of “Heaven’s Not too Far,” “How Do I Say Goodbye” and “Roll Me Away” was played. The service was live streamed on the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home Facebook page.

Committal prayer and interment were in the New Home Cemetery in Cherryville, Missouri.
