Class of 2026 graduates on Friday

Posted

The St. James High School class of 2026 will graduate on Friday, May 15 at 7 p.m. on the football field. This will mark the final event for this year’s graduating class and will be a celebration of the students’ hard work as they transition into the next phase of their lives.

Seating is available in the football field’s stands on a first-come basis. In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the middle school gym.

If graduation is moved to the middle school, each senior will be given one parking pass for their family. Only cars with the pass displayed will be able to park in the middle school parking lot. Shuttles will also be available from the high school parking lot to the middle school.

There will be no restriction on the number of people allowed to attend should the ceremony be moved inside.

Graduation will include statements by district administrators, as well as student speeches by Isabelle Bolte and Johnny Perkins. The class of 2026 will cross the stage and receive their diplomas, marking a start to their next chapter.

Online livestream options will be available for those wanting to watch but unable to attend in person. Check the district’s website and Facebook page for updates.

Pictures of the graduating seniors will be taken during graduation practice on Thursday, May 14. Students will need to be at the football field by 7:30 a.m. and in the stands by 8 a.m. sharp in caps and gowns for the class picture.

Following practice, seniors will make their graduation walk through Lucy Wortham James Elementary School in their attire.

The community is invited to come celebrate the students as they mark the completion of their high school experience.
