Clinton Allen Mullen of Vista, California, and formerly of Cuba, Missouri, was born on Thursday, October 3, 1935 in Cuba, Missouri to John Edward Mullen and Martha Leona (nee Walden) Mullen and passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026 at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 11 days.
Clinton joined the United States Air Force in May of 1954 and served until June of 1975. Duty tour included from the end of the Korean War through Vietnam, with overseas duty in Greenland, Libya and Thailand.
After his retirement from the military, he worked for Sears, Washington State as a driver’s license examiner and then for the Fort Lewis Logistics Center for over 10 years before retiring in 1994.
He married Wilma J. Penland in St. Louis County, Missouri. After her passing, he married Judith Ann (nee Brown) Seal on April 24, 2004 in Henderson, Nevada.
He enjoyed traveling and the outdoors, especially the Pacific Northwest and the Sonoran Desert of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by parents, John and Martha Mullen; first wife, Wilma Mullen; daughter, Vicki Mullen; son, Danny Mullen; siblings, Ed (Gene) Mullen, Wayne (Joy) Mullen, Donald (Jean) Mullen and Delores (Bill) Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Judith Mullen of Vista, California; sons, Clinton “Allen” Mullen Jr. and wife Diane of Oregon and William Mullen of Washington; stepson, Kevin Seal and wife Julie of Derby, Kansas; stepdaughter, Teri Kersting of Vista, California; grandchildren; great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Inurnment was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026 at Lick Creek Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri with Rev. Robert C. Knapp officiating.
