The Crawford County commission, on Nov. 18, briefly touched on employee overtime and comp time.
“We are trying to find the best answers on comp time and overtime, and we don’t know those answers yet,” said District 2 Associate Commissioner Jared Boast.
A committee will meet sometime during the first week of December to have a discussion on the county’s employee handbook and any possible changes.
In other business, two audits are in progress for the county. The procedural audit is conducted by the state and is likely nearing the end, but no set date has been announced.
Karen Sikes, Crawford County treasurer, said the financial audit, usually conducted by the state, has been contracted out to a firm in Kansas City. It will likely be completed by the end of the year.
Sikes also noted that the last time the county had an audit was in 2021.
Crawford County Clerk Kim Gibbs said a page has been added to the county’s website titled “Crawford County News” and will include announcements such as closures and other pertinent county news. Gibbs also indicated that ATV permits are being printed and will likely be available next month.
A bid was accepted on a tractor from Wayde’s Equipment.
