The Missouri State Highway Patrol in Crawford County reports five recent arrests of motorists allegedly driving while intoxicated.
At 10:06 pm Oct. 14, the MSHP arrested Beryl D. Downey, 59, Bourbon, on allegations of felony DWI as a habitual offender. He was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Crawford County Jail in Steelville.
At 3:47 p.m. Oct. 19, the MSHP arrested Jeremie L. Crocker, 39, Steelville, on allegations of felony DWI as a habitual offender and felony driving while revoked. He was arrested and released, according to the report.
Roger A. Carl, 41, Steelville, was arrested Oct. 8 by the MSHP in Crawford County on allegations of felony driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender. He was transported to the Crawford County Jail after his arrest at 10:10 p.m. and later released.
Also arrested on DWI allegations as a persistent offender was Glenn T. Protte, 41, Bourbon. His arrest by the MSHP in Crawford County on Oct. 3 was reported at 8:34 p.m. and the report lists him as being released.
At 7:09 p.m. Oct. 5, the MSHP in Crawford County arrested Dean L. Jones, 39, St. Clair, on allegations of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm. He was also cited for speeding, not having a valid license plate, following another vehicle too closely and for cutting in on an overtaken vehicle while passing. He was transported to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and placed on a 24-hour hold.
Shea M. Redman, 37, Cuba, was arrested by the MSHP in Crawford on a Jefferson County warrant for a park ordinance violation. He was also cited for speeding and for not having a valid driver’s license. He was transported to the jail in Steelville on the bondable offenses.
The MSHP also reported the Oct. 8 arrest at 10:54 p.m. of Kasey A. Maceranka, 39, of Cuba, on allegations of DWI. He was transported to the Cuba Police station and later released.
Two Crawford County residents were injured in separate crashes reported this past week by the MSHP in Troop I.
An 18-year-old girl from Steelville received minor injuries at 11:55 p.m. Oct. 18 when, while eastbound on Highway 8 in a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire, she failed to negotiate a curve, went off the left side of the road, and overturned. She was transported by Steelville ambulance to Missouri Baptist in Sullivan for treatment.
The crash occurred west of Steelville and Miles and Sons Towing removed the heavily damaged car. She was wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP report from Troop I Trooper M.T. Baird.
At 7:50 a.m. Oct. 15, a 33-year-old Bourbon man received minor injuries when the 2022 Dodge Ram pickup westbound truck he was a passenger in went off the right side of the road and overturned near the 4000 block of Route JJ. He was transported by Crawford County Ambulance District personnel for treatment at Missouri Baptist in Sullivan. Chris and Sons Towing removed the vehicle from the scene. The truck had moderate damage, according to the report. The driver of the truck was listed as a 30-year-old Bourbon woman. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report by Trooper A.M. Cunningham.
