The Crawford County Library District has released its June events calendar, full of activities for every age.

Children’s Programs
Each branch has an 11 a.m. story time every week. Bourbon’s is on Mondays, Cuba’s is on Tuesdays and Steelville’s is on Thursdays. The themes for June are Dino Stomp!, Plant a Seed, Red, White and Blue, Dig! and America!
The Coffee & Books, teen book club, is at 1 p.m. on June 5 at the Bourbon Café and Coffee Saloon.
Hosted by the Cuba branch, from 4-6 p.m. on June 9, there is the Dinomite Launch Party. The event allows for all ages to sign up for the library district’s Summer Reading Challenge. Face painting, the Cuba FFA, dino-games and more will also be featured.
Kids Klub: Geodes and Dino Eggs will be at the Bourbon branch at 4 p.m. on June 8, to make plaster dinosaur eggs and break geodes. There is a 20 participant limit.
Kids Klub will be at the Cuba branch at 4 p.m. on June 16 for their event, Patriotic Mosaics. With a limit of 14 people, participants can make firework mosaic stepping stones.
Steelville’s Kids Klub is at 4 p.m. on June 25 with a limit of 10 children. Kids can make volcano dioramas and watch them erupt.
Adult Programs
Bourbon has Table Top Role Playing Games from 5-8 p.m. every Monday, and Steelville has them from 5-8 p.m. every Tuesday.
Silent Book Club is from 5-7 p.m. on June 3 at the Steelville branch.
Join the Steelville branch at 5:30 p.m. on June 4 for Beaded Plants, where a limit of 12 participants will be able to make trendy potted plants using green beads, foam and wire.
Starting at 1 p.m. on June 11, the Cuba branch will be hosting its Self-Indulgence Book Club.
Celebrate America’s 250th birthday at the Steelville branch at 5:30 p.m. on June 11 for The American Dream. Participants will learn about how the American Dream has changed from colonial times, to the Industrial Revolution, to now.
Senior Crafternoon, held on the third Tuesday of every month, is from 2-3 p.m. on June 16 at the Cuba branch.
Bookish Bunch Book Club will be held at 6 p.m. on June 18 at the Bourbon branch.
The Bourbon branch is hosting Terra Cotta Painting starting at 5:30 p.m. on June 22, which has a limit of 14 people.
Hosting DIY: American Flags at 6 p.m. on June 23, with a limit of 14 participants, make hanging American flags with ribbon and lace at the Cuba branch.
Book Lovers Book Club will have its monthly meeting at 2:30 p.m. on June 25 at the Steelville branch.
Meeting from 1-2 p.m. on June 26, the Culinary Cooks Club will be at the Bourbon branch. The club is a monthly recipe and dish exchange, with June’s theme being dips.
Starting at 5:30 p.m. on June 29, the Bourbon branch is hosting Red, White and Blue: Feeding the American Soldier, where participants will get to learn and even sample some of the different diets/foods that American troops have eaten throughout the years.
Join the Cuba branch at 6 p.m. on June 30 for Native Plants, where participants can learn about native plants, invasive species and different options that work great for landscaping.
