Approximately two dozen people came to the Feb. 10 meeting of the Crawford County Democrats. The next meeting is March 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the former First Presbyterian Church located at 701 Main in Cuba. Enter from the back parking lot where an accessible ramp is available.

To keep up to date on meetings, minutes, action plans and events visit www.crawforddems.com or Crawford County MO Democrats on Facebook. Plans will be discussed for participating in the March 28 third No Kings protest.

A free showing of “Out There: A National Parks Story” will be held on Sunday, March 8 at 2 p.m. in Cherry Rose Hall at 115 South Smith Street in Cuba. The 75-minute documentary will be followed by guest speakers and discussion. Jody Eberle, retired from the National Forest Service, will speak on public lands and Bill O'Donnell, retired from the National Park Service will speak on Ozark National Scenic Riverways.

Also make sure you have signed the two initiative petitions to get them on the ballot so all Missourians get the chance to vote on them.

1. The Respect Missouri Voters petition is about preserving the initiative petition process, so that we may continue to have a direct voice in our governance; so that the Missouri legislature can not overturn what we have collectively voted for; so that the legislature can not use misleading ballot language on the ballots put forth.

2. The Missouri Right to Education petition (MOR2E) is a petition guaranteeing that every Missourian has a right to a quality, funded education.
