Curtis “Doogie” Dale Burrow of Cuba, Missouri was born Oct. 6, 1954 in Corning, Arkansas to Cleveland and Ethel Marie Pankey Burrow and passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026 at the age of 71 years, 6 months and 10 days,
On December 15, 1976, he married Sherry Lee Garrison.
“Doogie” attended the Steelville First Assembly of God for several years.
He was employed throughout the years as an iron worker, auto mechanic, builder in construction and as an electrician.
He enjoyed bass fishing, working on small engine repairs or making sure his lawn was perfectly cut.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Ethel Burrow; wife, Sherry Burrow; father-in-law, William Herschel Garrison; brothers, Cleveland (Theresa) Burrow, Bob Burrow, Bill Burrow, Harold Burrow, Lowell (Jim Warren) Burrow, Mervil Jr. Casteel and Danny Burrow; sisters, Donna (Kenny) Thomas, Faye (Louis) Wiseman and Bonnie Shelton.
He is survived by two sons, Curtis Wm. (Andi Harley) Burrow of Cuba, Missouri and Herschel (Jamie) Burrow of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Crista (Mike) Chew of Cuba, Missouri; sisters, Mary (Sonny) Hutchings of Steelville, Missouri and Margaret (Jim) Harmon of Cherryville, Missouri, Kathy Burrow and Lana Edwards of Paragould, Arkansas, Rosetta (Lamar) Davis of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Louetta (Robert) Bauer of Windsor, Missouri; mother-in-law, Betty Garrison of Steelville, Missouri; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mike (Karen) Garrison of Cuba, Missouri, Billy (Patty) Garrison of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Kevin (Amy) Garrison of Steelville, Missouri, Fayetta (Kenny) Large of Cuba, Missouri, Kelly Howard, and Lisa (Colin) Vandegriffe all of Steelville, Missouri; grandchildren, Malachi (Wynter) Burrow, William (Tessa) Chew, James Burrow, Andy Chew and Jasper Harley-Smith; great-grandchildren, Colsyn Chew and Daisy Strother; other relatives and friends
Visitation was held from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Memorial service was held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Special music of "On the Wings of a Dove," "Far Side Banks of Jordan" and "Go Rest High" was played. Memories were shared by Curtis (Andi Harley) Burrow and Malachi Burrow with another family member and a friend.
Doogie’s wishes for his final disposition was cremation.
