Darrell Wayne Humphrey of Steelville, Missouri was born January 20, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri to Harold K. Humphrey and Geraldine Stanfill Humphrey and passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at the age of 67 years, 8 months and 9 days.
On March 3, 1984 in Pacific, Missouri, he married Darla VanSant.
He was known to be an outdoors man. Throughout the years, he enjoyed deer hunting, fishing on the river, floating, camping and kayaking.
Darrell worked as a laborer in St. Louis for several years.
In earlier years, he attended Steelville Assembly of God Church
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Geraldine Humphrey; brother, Rusty E. Humphrey; sisters, Vicky Perez and Dorothy Foster; and brother-in-law, Dick Winkoof.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Darla Humphrey of Steelville, Missouri; two sons, Darrell E. (Tera) Humphrey of Cuba, Missouri and Dustin Scott Humphrey of Steelville, Missouri; two daughters, Aquarius Humphrey of Steelville, Missouri and Amanda (Joshua) Murphy of Cook Station, Missouri; brother, Scott F. Humphrey of Farmington, Missouri; three sisters, Debbie Kibbler of Arnold, Missouri, Jeri Winkoff of St. Peters, Missouri and Patricia (Gary) Funkhouser of Sullivan, Missouri; sister-in-law, Teresa Humphrey of Villa Ridge, Missouri; 13 grandchildren, Lilly, Ian, Kendra, Trenton, Ozlynn, Dustin Jr., Dylan, Blake, Gage, Breanna, Halie, Alise and Kaitlyn; three great grandchildren, Braxton, Elijah and Diego; other relatives and friends.
Celebration of life visitation was held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Darrell had chosen cremation as his final disposition.
