David Barry Wagner of Sullivan, Missouri was born on June 4, 1947 in Kirkwood, Missouri to Merle and Doris (Laws) Wagner and passed away on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025 at the age of 78 years.

At the age of 18 he started working at the Chrysler Corporation where he became a foreman.

On Feb. 22, 1964, David married Diane Leslie.

The family initially settled in Kirkwood, Missouri before moving to Fenton, Missouri. In 1976, David and Diane purchased a home in Japan, Missouri.

He enjoyed restoring Mopars, alongside his son Mike. He spent hours driving tractors and caring for their horses with his daughter Tracy.

Before retiring in 2002, David consulted for Chrysler and even relocated to Florida for a time to be closer to his daughter Jennifer and her family. In 2009, he returned to Missouri, making the Sullivan area his final home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane; son, Jason Wagner; parents, Merle and Doris Wagner; and brother-in-law, Rob Mahoney.

David is survived by three children, Tracy Wagner and husband Bryan Young of Sullivan/Steelville, Missouri, Michael Wagner and wife Jill of Sullivan, Missouri and Jennifer Christopher and husband Alan of Navarre, Florida; seven grandchildren, Jamie Peters and significant other Cullen Oldham of Bourbon, Missouri, Ashley Stabener and husband Wayne of Roxanna, Illinois, Brittany West and husband Dillan of Steelville, Missouri, Haley Wagner and fiancé Ross Farris, Addison Wagner all of Sullivan, Missouri and Leighton and Jace Christopher of Navarre, Florida; nine great grandchildren, Megan, Justin, Ryan, Emma, Mason, Isla, Vivian, Lane and Sydney; brother, Ron Wagner of Sullivan, Missouri; four sisters, Lorrie Bilyeu and significant other Gary Foree, Chris Mahoney, Pam Jensen and Penny Crawford and husband Dan all of Kirkwood, Missouri; other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.

Services were held at noon on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Duke West officiating.

Interment followed at the Lockhart Cemetery in Cuba/Japan, Missouri.
