David Thomas Lee of Cuba, Missouri, formerly of Bourbon, Missouri was born on Feb. 10, 1978 in Rolla, Missouri to Jim and Fran (Adams) Lee and passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026 at the age of 48 years.

He grew up in Bourbon and attended Bourbon High School, graduating with the class of 1996. He later continued his education at Ozark Technical College in Springfield, Missouri, where he earned an associate’s degree in computer science.

He was employed by Fidelity Communications and later served as a paraprofessional for St. Clair and Bourbon High School. He loved this job, and the kids loved him.

On May 20, 2017, David married Samantha Lee. Although they later divorced, they remained best friends.

He was a gamer at heart and loved anything medieval. Dungeons and Dragons and World of Warcraft were two of his favorites, and he enjoyed the adventure, imagination, and challenge those games offered. He and Samantha had attended six Gen Con conventions. They had also recently taken up Bingo.

He was a lover of animals, especially his cat, Shinobi and his guinea pigs. He also enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Fran (Adams) Lee; and brother, Michael Lee.

He is survived by his son, Brendan Lee of Nixa, Missouri; father, Jim Lee of Bourbon, Missouri, ex-wife, Samantha Lee of Sullivan, Missouri; step-daughter, Sammantha Prock of Springfield, Missouri; two grandchildren, Anyka and Liam Hill-Prock; aunt, Mae Dona Tribble and husband Dan of Springfield, Missouri; uncle, Tom Adams and wife Deborah of Sullivan, Missouri; other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Hardy Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri with Sean Adams officiating.
