Donald E. "Donny" Kean of Bolivar, Missouri, formerly of Leasburg, Missouri, was born on September 15, 1971 in Salem, Missouri and passed away on March 12, 2026 at the age of 54 years.
Donny found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He liked casting a line at his favorite fishing hole, laughing with friends during Monday bowling and exploring the aisles of Bass Pro. He cherished his collections of camouflage (Mossy Oak) items, cheered for the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoyed sprint car races.
Donny was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Lee and O. Imogene (Koepke) Kean; and sister, Jacqueline Lafferty.
He is survived by his siblings, Gilbert Lee (Patti) Kean Jr. of Columbia, Missouri, Tammy (Don) Hutchison of Sullivan, Missouri, Margaret (Mark) Disbrow of Rolla, Missouri and Lori (Terry) Santonge of Wichita, Kansas; brother-in-law, Dennis Lafferty of Fair Grove, Missouri; caregivers and friends from Firefly, Jeff, Dennison, Navara, Brenna and Tony; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Mizell Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba, Missouri.
Service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Mizell Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba, Missouri with Tony Amato officiating. Attendees were encouraged to wear their favorite Kansas City Chiefs or camouflage (Mossy Oak) attire.
Interment at Lea Cemetery in Leasburg, Missouri.
