Doris Marie Jenkins of Owensville, Missouri was born April 1, 1930 in Owensville, Missouri to Leslie and Melva Marie (Rehmert) Howard and passed away Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025 at the age of 95 years.
She married Edward Ralph “Red” Jenkins on Sept. 11, 1948 in Hermann, Missouri.
Doris was the bookkeeper of Jenkins Excavating for over 40 years. She was a member of VFW 6133 Post Ladies Auxiliary and the order of Eastern Star 598. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Owensville, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Melva Howard; son, Dennis Jenkins; daughter, Janie Wiegers; son-in-law, Mark Wiegers; daughter-in-law, Becky Jenkins; siblings, Delmar, Donald, David, Mildred and Daniel Howard; and brother-in-law, Ronald Hinson.
She is survived by her son, Carl Jenkins of Owensville, Missouri; brother, James “Jim” Howard and wife Sharon of Owensville, Missouri; sister, Laura Hinson of Owensville, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Nancy Jenkins of Owensville, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Madgeline Howard of Owensville, Missouri and Rose Mary Howard of Cuba, Missouri; nine grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025 at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025 at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville, Missouri with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating.
