Earnest Wayne Stroup of Bourbon, Missouri was born on August 5, 1969 in Sullivan, Missouri to Ernest and Lillie (Holiday) Stroup and passed away Friday, Jan. 2, 2026 at the age of 56 years.
He grew up in Bourbon and attended school there.
After high school, Wayne worked various local odds-and-ends jobs.
On June 6, 1992, he married Cynthia Spurgeon.
Wayne was an avid coon hunter and a longtime member of the Crawford County Coon Hunters Association. He loved being outdoors and fishing.
He attended Trinity Worship Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Lillie Stroup.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Stroup of Bluejacket, Oklahoma; three children, Jonathan, Andrew and Hannah Stroup all of Bluejacket, Oklahoma; aunt, Mary Montgomery of Bourbon, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026 at the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Jeremiah Wilson officiating.
