Ervin F. Dierking

Ervin F. Dierking of Sullivan, Missouri was born on Feb. 16, 1938 in Strain Japan, Missouri to George Dierking and Elise (Schebaum) Dierking and passed away Monday, March 30, 2026 at the age of 88 years.

He grew up in the Japan area and later graduated from Sullivan High School.

Ervin was a hardworking man who dedicated over 30 years of employment to a local factory in Sullivan. He was also a lifelong farmer and operated a hog operation full-time and raised cattle.

In 1974, Ervin married Bernice Hutson. They enjoyed traveling together and making memories at the Missouri State Fair over the years.

He enjoyed farming, fishing, tending to his garden, and raising chickens, pigeons and doves. Trout fishing held a special place in his heart, and in recent years, he had the honor of blowing the whistle at the opening day of trout fishing season at Maramec Spring Park.

He was actively involved in his community, serving on several boards including Crow Cemetery, Old Argo Cemetery, the Rosebud Thresher Association and the Woodland Heights Water District. He was also a member of the Jacob’s Cave Swap Meet.

Ervin donated nearly 17 gallons of blood over his lifetime to help others.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Dierking; parents, George and Elise Dierking; and two brothers, Eldo Dierking and Bob Dierking.

He is survived by two children, Debra Parkins of Sullivan, Missouri and Danny Parkins and wife Debbie of Bourbon, Missouri; two grandchildren, Amy King and husband DJ of Sullivan, Missouri and Misty Parkins of Leasburg, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Brett and Dakota Parkins; sister, Ina Bates of Sullivan, Missouri; other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.

Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Rob Cardwell officiating.

Interment followed at Crow Cemetery in Sullivan with full military honors.
