The November Evening Star 4-H Club meeting began with a Friendsgiving supper for members and their families. Everyone enjoyed food and fellowship before the meeting.

President Peyton Bullock called to order the November 11, 2025 meeting of the Evening Star 4-H Club. Julia Vitzhum and Madison Kleinheider led the pledges to the American flag and to the 4-H flag. Members then answered roll call by naming their favorite Thanksgiving dessert. “Happy Birthday” was sung to the members with November birthdays.

Ronan Cahill, secretary, read the October minutes. Riley Gibson reported on the activities for 4-H Sunday. Eli Evans gave a run-down on bowling. Theo Mulhall described the skeletons that were made by the Clover Kids at their October meeting.

During the business meeting, 14 project leaders were introduced and approved for 2025-2026. The members discussed a skating trip to The Zone in Rolla, during their fundraiser for GRACE. The club will provide canned goods for each participant who will donate paper goods. These donations will cover the price of skating and shoe rental.

The Lucy Wortham James PTO’s Christmas Market on December 6 has asked for the Evening Star 4-H Club to provide a concession stand. Older members will also assist vendors in their set-up time. Also for Christmas, the club will again adopt some senior citizens and provide gifts and cards for them.

Several members then played a Thanksgiving version of Hot Potato. Song leaders Evie Cahill and Roselia Puma led the group in two spirited songs, “Going on a Bear Hunt” and “The Turkey Pokey.”

In announcements, members were reminded to help decorate the St. James Cemetery gate and fence on November 22.
