Everett Earl Williams of Cuba, Missouri was born on Monday, November 25, 1940 in Rolla, Missouri to Homer Williams and Hallie Mae (nee Spurgeon) Williams and passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at the age of 85 years, 9 months, and 16 days.
Everett graduated from Cuba High School in the Class of 1958.
On December 8, 1961, Everett married Willa Mae Counts in Steelville, Missouri.
He spent 36 years at Pea Ridge Mine and was a member of the United Steel Workers. For another 12 years, he built houses alongside his son at Williams Construction.
He was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing, gigging and gardening. He also enjoyed Louis L’Amour novels.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Hallie Mae Williams; wife, Willa Mae Williams; parents-in-law, Arthur and Eula Counts; brothers-in-law Earl (Erma) Counts, Tom (Priss) Counts, Lee (Mary) Counts, Frank “Haney” (Darlene) Counts and Gary (Joyce) Counts.
He is survived by his son, Randy and wife Louanne Williams of Cuba, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Connie Counts of Steelville, Missouri and Laura Counts of Paris, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Emma Filippelli of Westborough, Massachusetts, David (Jody) Minardi, Daniel (Heather) Williams, and Lance (Abigayle) Williams all of Cuba, Missouri; great grandchildren Zack (Hannah) Minardi, Brendon Stephens, Allyn Filippelli, Paulie Windle, Kye Williams, Lucas Filippelli, Allie Williams, Benny Williams and River Williams; other relatives and friends.
Memorial Gathering was held from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
The family chose cremation as his final disposition and will have an inurnment at later date at Meramec Hills Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri.
