Troop I of the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the arrest of Marcus G. Rounseville, 39, of Orlando, Florida, at 7:51 p.m. on Jan. 28 in Crawford County.
He faces allegations of a DWI (alcohol) and operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner. He was arrested when MSGT. J.R. McCurdy, assisted by CPL J.T. Peart and TPR G.W. Picard, investigated a crash that occurred at 6:45 p.m. at Interstate 44 mile-marker 216, traveling westbound.
Rounseville, driving a 2025 Freightliner Cascadia, struck the rear of a 2013 Mack CXU613, driven by a 27-year-old man from Atlanta, Georgia, which led Rounseville to travel off the left side of the roadway, striking the cable barrier. The other vehicle was able to come to a controlled stop on the right shoulder.
Rounseville suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan.
