Gallery Zeke is thrilled to announce its October exhibit, opening to the public on October 3, 2025.
This month-long exhibition will feature a collection of works created using wood or incorporating wood in the piece.
This year’s exhibit features the work of renowned local artist Jim Barksdale. This beloved member of the community has created art for more than 60 years. He is primarily known as a creator in wood of beautiful birds, for which he has received widespread praise. He has exhibited his work at the Department of Conservation, the Governor’s Mansion and has been involved in “Best of Missouri Hands” since its inception. He also is including several watercolor paintings he did in his earlier period, as well as sharing his many awards and medals won in the Senior Olympics and in Senior Bowling at the national level.
Gallery Zeke is located at 110 Main Street in Steelville. The October exhibit will be open Fridays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free and all are welcome.
