Gladys Marie Corey was born on July 6, 1933 in Summerville, Maine and passed away on Jan. 18, 2026 at the age of 92 years.
She graduated from high school and pursued further studies at business school.
Marie dedicated much of her professional life to being a resort manager. She was known as the "Florida Girl" at the St. James Senior Center.
She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often reminiscing about the countless hours spent playing cards with friends and talking to the television during her favorite game shows.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Muriel Bumstead Gould and Fred Gould; husband of 64 years, Ralph E. Corey; son, William Corey; and several siblings.
She is survived by her sons, Scott Corey of Naples, Florida and John Corey of Naples, Florida; daughters, Donna Moore (Roger) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Sandra Farr (Terry) of St. James, Missouri and Jeanne Clemons (Brian) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
