Gregory Keith Black of Rolla, Missouri was born on August 5, 1956 in Rolla, Missouri to James Ezra Black and Della Christine (Havens) Black and passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025 at the age of 69 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy. When he returned home, he followed his father’s footsteps and joined the Laborers Local 840 Union, where he worked until he retired.
He enjoyed woodworking, being outdoors, fishing, canoeing and camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joshua Turnbaugh; and one sister, Brenda Zoellner.
He is survived by one son, Joe Turnbaugh of Republic, Missouri; daughter, Sammy Arnold and husband Bradley of St. James, Missouri; one brother, Randy Black and wife Jewel of Victoria, Texas; three sisters, Sharon Jackson of St. James, Missouri, Linda Gray and husband Steve of St. James, Missouri and Marcia Mayo and husband Randy of Rolla, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Memorial gathering was held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla, Missouri.
