Jesus Christ told us to "…love your neighbor as yourself" (Matt 5) and even to "love your enemies" (Matt 5).

Paul (Rom. 13) and Peter (1 Pet 2) told us to obey the government except if it tells us to disobey God (Acts 5).

So far no one has written a letter telling us what a loving and obedient thing it was for the colonists to board the East India Co. ship in Boston Harbor on Dec. 16, 1773 and throw overboard 1-3 million dollars (today's money – google) of tea because the company got a tax break.

Also, no one has said what a loving and obedient thing it was for the colonist to store illegal weapons in Concord, about 15 miles SW of Boston, and then on April 19, 1775 at Lexington – about halfway to Concord) attack peacefully marching English troops on their way to Concord to enforce the law, killing over 70 (this was when Paul Revere road). But note that they were not intending to hurt anyone…just peacefully on their way to enforce the law.

Also note that the colonists claimed to be Christians…but like some Christians today, they used worlding sinful ways to solve their problems.

Then finally, was it a loving and obedient thing to ignore God's Word about obeying the government (Rom. 13.9 Pet. 2) and declare their independence, thereby stealing the land belonging to England by right of discovery by John Cabot in 1498 and start a war that caused the death of over 200,000 people (google)?

Please – and I'm serious – please correct me if you can. I don't want to believe these things if I don't have to.

Otherwise, believe what I believe is the truth, Christians, and stop celebrating and glorifying sin so you can get into Heaven.
