Helen L. Padgitt

Helen L. Padgitt of Bourbon, Missouri was born on Feb. 2, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri to Adam and Hilda (Mundmueller) Lindner and passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026 at the age of 91 years.

She grew up in South St. Louis and graduated from Notre Dame High School.

She married Eugene Padgitt. They raised their family in St. Louis, where she worked in data entry and bookkeeping at Cardinal Glennon Hospital.

She enjoyed camping at Sam A. Baker State Park, taking trips to the beach, visiting the St. Louis Zoo and Grant’s Farm.

Helen was a wonderful cook who enjoyed reading mystery and crime novels, spending time outdoors in the sunshine and traveling–especially to New Orleans and Las Vegas. She also enjoyed watching The Price Is Right.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Padgitt; parents, Adam and Hilda Lindner; and brother, Robert Lindner.

She is survived by five children, Gene Padgitt and wife Margie of Independence, Missouri, Michael Padgitt and wife Kelly of Grover, Missouri, Terri Padgitt of Bourbon, Missouri, Susan Partridge and husband Chris of Webster Groves, Missouri and Kevin Padgitt and wife Kelly of Georgia; eight grandchildren, Adam Jacquemin-Padgitt, Courtney Howe, Nick Padgitt, Leland Padgitt, Avery, Padgitt, Lily Padgitt, Kaitlyn Padgitt and Amy Smith; great granddaughter, Elle Howe; other relatives and friends.

Arrangements for cremation have taken place. No services are planned at this time.
