Howard Hutson of Cherryville, Missouri was born August 14, 1942 in Keysville, Missouri to Santa Hutson and Rose Oxendine Hutson and passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025 at the age of 83 years, 3 months and 12 days.

He graduated in 1960 from Steelville High School. After graduation from high school, he was employed at Brown Shoe Co. and Pea Ridge Mine.

Howard served honorably in the U.S. Army from April 1964 to April 1966.

On July 14, 1967 at the Presbyterian Church in Cuba, Missouri, he married Marion Eaton.

He went to work in St. Louis as a Union Carpenter, retiring in 1999 after 28 years. Howard was a member of the Union Local 97.

In his spare time, he enjoyed 4-wheeling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Santa and Rose Hutson; wife of 53 years, Marion Hutson; son, Michael Hutson; brother, Bob Hutson; sisters, Dovie Mae (Ed) Conaway, Patricia (Richard) Ogle, Grace Rodgers, Elizabeth (Bob) Phenix, Bernice Dierking and Edith (Dave) Cornick; brother-in-law, Sidney Ransom; sisters-in-law, Gail Hutson and Brenda Hutson.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Tammy Hutson of Steelville, Missouri; two grandchildren, Clayton Hutson and Randi Livesay; brother, Rainey Hutson of Cuba, Missouri; sister, Cecelia Ransom of Steelville, Missouri; brothers-in-law, Jim Rodgers and Ervin Dierking both of Sullivan, Missouri; sister-in-law, Mary Hutson of Berryman, Missouri; other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Special music of "Rock of Ages" and "Old Rugged Cross" was played.                             

Committal prayer and interment were in the Steelville Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri with full military honors by the U.S. Army, Washington American Legion Post #218 and Patriot Guard Riders of South-Central Missouri.

Honored to be casket bearers were Mike Rabe, Tony Ransom, Mike Cornick, Steve Phenix, Robert Cornick and Bobby Hutson.
