James William Hormann

James "Jim" William Hormann of Sullivan, Missouri was born on June 21, 1971 in Granite City, Illinois to James Lee and Linda (Campbell) Hormann and passed away Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026 at the age of 54 years.

He was a 1989 graduate of Sullivan High School. He then attended St. Louis University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and English. He completed his Master's Degree in Biology/Chemistry with emphasis in Wildlife management at Southeast Missouri State University.

He married Annette Schmitz on June 15, 1996. Jim and Annette later divorced.

He worked for various pharmaceutical companies, living in Connecticut, Delaware, Texas and Pennsylvania. He established his own consulting firm, which he operated until 2020.

Despite being diagnosed with Berger's Disease at a young age, Jim faced his condition with courage and determination, never allowing it to define his life's achievements.

Jim was an enthusiast of muscle cars, taking joy in his '72 Chevelle. He enjoyed fishing on his boat and gaming sessions on his Xbox. Although he was primarily a business traveler that preferred to stay at home, he still loved to work with different people throughout the world and created memories with various teams in Japan, Australia, and the US.

He is survived by his sons, James E.L. Hormann and fiancée Alexandra Buss of Bristol, Connecticut, William C.T. Hormann of Columbia, Missouri and Kyle Seabaugh and fiancée Dawn Lambert of Jackson, Missouri; mother of his children, Annette Hormann of Columbia, Missouri; parents, James and Linda Hormann of Sullivan, Missouri; brother, Joe Hormann and wife Lisa of Bourbon, Missouri; sister, Heather Bartle and husband Tim of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2026 at the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan, Missouri.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2026 at the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Lew Ensor officiating from St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

Visitation was also held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026 at the Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026 at the Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri with Pastor Daniel Seabaugh officiating.

Interment followed at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
