Jessica Claudeane (Hawkins) Raulston was born on May 12, 1977 in Houston, Missouri to Roger and Brenda (Plowman) Hawkins and passed away March 15, 2026 at the age of 48 years.
Jessica grew up in Salem and graduated in 1995 from Salem High School. She then attended Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, Missouri.
On Sept. 3, 2010, Jessica married Matthew Raulston at Cross Country Trail Rides in Eminence, Missouri.
She was currently working in quality control at MO-Sci Corporation. Prior to her time there, she worked at Mar-Bal and Briggs and Stratton.
She was also the proud owner of Meramec River Aussies where she raised Australian Shepherds.
She loved riding horses and spent much of her time at Cross Country Trail Rides with her special horse Bart. During her college years, she competed in horse shows and barrel racing, earning several buckles. She also enjoyed the outdoors, especially the fun adventures camping and floating along the Current River and Meramec River.
At the age of 13, she accepted her faith and was saved.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda (Plowman) Hawkins; grandfather, Claude Hawkins; and grandparents, Jess and Charlene Plowman.
She is survived by her husband: Matt Raulston of Salem, Missouri; father, Roger Hawkins and wife Devlyn of Hartshorn, Missouri; mother-in-law, Brenda Kunkel and husband Dean; grandmother, Bonnie Hawkins-Ament; sisters, Amanda Gray and husband Davey of Salem, Missouri and Casandra Hamilton and husband Phil of St. James, Missouri; brother-in-law, Jason Raulston and wife Tara of Salem, Missouri; nieces and nephews, David Gray Jr., Colton Hamilton, Lauryn Cervantes and husband Jonathan, Ciera Hamilton, Dawson Gray, Devin Gray, Carly Hamilton and Jude Raulston; one great-niece and one great-nephew; other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026 at the Wilson Mortuary in Salem, Missouri.
Celebration of life was held at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026 at the Wilson Mortuary in Salem, Missouri.
