JoAnn Barbara Glaser of Owensville, Missouri was born March 3, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri to Michael and Cecelia (Groner) Ehren and passed away Monday, March 9, 2026 at the age of 79 years. 

She married Kenneth Ray Glaser on Sept. 30, 1972 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Bem, Missouri.

She enjoyed spending time at home and at her church. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed creating special dinners for her loved ones. When she was younger, she loved working outdoors and canning fresh vegetables from their garden.

JoAnn was an avid decorator and especially enjoyed going antiquing. She and Ken's Century Farm home is a collection of memories.

She worked as a school secretary at Cuba Elementary for years and later as the Executive Secretary at Boys Town in St. James, Missouri. JoAnn was a faithful member of St. John's UCC at Bem, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Cecelia Ehren; siblings, Barbara Steinman, Sister Mary Claver (Florence) Ehren, Dolores Ehren, Cecilia Browning, Eleanor Patrick, Michael Ehren, Donald Ehren, Mildred Brewer and Evelyn Mar.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Glaser of Owensville, Missouri; children, Cheryl Heitman-Higgason and husband David of Sullivan, Missouri, Jason Glaser and wife Sarah of Joplin, Missouri and Matthew Glaser and wife Michelle of Springfield, Missouri; siblings, Frances Wilkerson and husband James of Rolla, Missouri Margie Clark of Lewisville, Texas and Loretta Jakubiec and husband Peter of Clinton Township, Michigan; sister-in-law, Becky Ehren of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; grandchildren, Erin Bartschmid and husband Albert, Tyler Heitman and Jaira Glaser; great grandchildren, Hank Bartschmid and Hudson Bartschmid; caregiver and dear friend, Carol Harris; other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville, Missouri.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026 at St. John's UCC Bem with Pastor Jeff Remelius officiating.

Burial will be at St. John's UCC Cemetery at Bem, Missouri.
